Dismissing a petition filed by the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) and several others, the Karnataka High Court held that, it cannot prevent a legal body from performing its duties. It further said, The HC said, “Undisputed fact is, the Act is in force as on date. Hence, no Writ of prohibition can be issued against Statutory Commission from exercising its jurisdiction”.
