BCI allows entry of foreign law firms in Indian on non-litigious matters

Bar Council of India has notified its rules to permit practice of foreign law firms and foreign lawyers in India on a reciprocal basis (the foreign country allowing Indian firms and lawyers to practice there). The rules permit these firms to advise and act only on non-litigious matters involving foreign law, international law and arbitration matters. The objective is to promote India as a viable destination for international arbitration.
